What an ingenious way to repurpose old rain gutters! Don’t forget to pre-drill drainage holes in the bottom of the gutters before planting otherwise you’ll end up with vertical water gardens instead of lovely homegrown edibles. You might also consider lining the gutters with landscape fabric or place a shallow layer of gravel along the bottom of the gutters to encourage drainage and minimize soil erosion.
