Trigger warning: Suicide, bullying, sexual assault
1. This is very triggering about bullying and suicide. Proceed with caution.
2. This is from Rolling Stone’s Valentine’s Day issue.
3. If you are a straight person in the Glee fandom, oh god, do I want you to read every word of this.
This is horrifying, and that’s exactly why you need to read it.
I am so glad that I live in a place that’s tolerant of LGBTQ youth.
How could anyone do this to someone else? How do they live with themselves?
This is sickening
I don’t know if I’ve ever felt more heartbroken after reading an article like this. I’m just crying and pissed off that this is happening and I feel incredibly useless.
I don’t know if any of them follow my tumblr, but the crowd of kids I hung out with in high school (nearly 10 years ago now) were all predominantly gay, and out. Even being in San Antonio, TX I don’t think I remember instances when they were bullied to this extreme, and if they were, I feel sick with myself that I may not have noticed it. Please please please always be vocal about supporting and defending ANYONE that’s being bullied for ANY reason.
